School Chaplain - Diane Thoomes
Diane Thoomes has been the Chaplain at Bletchley Park PS for a number of years. Diane works Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at Bletchley Park.
Chaplains in government schools work to support students and staff, value every student and family in the school and build hopeful futures for students. They do this by caring for the social, emotional, mental and spiritual wellbeing of students, families and staff. More information about school chaplaincy can be found on the Youthcare webpage – www.youthcare.org.au
Some of the ways Diane does this is by meeting with students going through difficult times individually. She also runs some small group programs such as the Drumbeat social skills program and the Rainbows program to support students who are experiencing grief and loss through family breakups or death of close family members.
Bletchley Park PS has an opt-out system for students accessing the Chaplain. If it is your wish that your child does not receive support from the Chaplain at any time please send an email to the school at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If parents would like to contact the Chaplain she is available from 8:15 on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays and would love you to drop in and say hello. Diane’s email is Diane.Thoomes@youthcare.org.au
