Music at BPPS
Music
All students from K-6 have the opportunity to learn Music at Bletchley Park Primary School. Our Music program is guided by the West Australian Curriculum of Arts developed by the School Curriculum and Standards Authority. Students participate in a weekly music lesson for one hour, exploring rhythm and melody through speech, singing, playing instruments and movement. Students learn to read and compose music, learn about different music genres and reflect on their musical experiences.
The Senior Choir (Year 4-6) performs at several events throughout the year including Harmony Day, ANZAC Day, assemblies, One Big Voice at RAC Arena and the end of year concert and presentation evening.
Bletchley Park Primary School is involved in the Instrumental Music Schools Services (IMSS) and offers tuition in classical guitar, flute, clarinet and brass to selected year 5 and 6 students.
