Language (Indonesian)

In 2017 Indonesian was introduced students from Year 5 – Year 6. In 2018 our Year 3 and Year 4 students joined the Indonesian Program. Bletchley Park became a TDS Language school in 2018. Hosting six after school network meetings for Language teachers during the year as well as supporting teachers implementing the new curriculum for Languages.

  Our students are all actively engaged in learning Indonesian and have a positive attitude towards language learning. Highlights include celebrating Harmony Week in March with an Indonesian assembly item and Languages Week in August, to promote the diversity of languages spoken within the school, with daily notices in different languages and lunch time activities.

All students are able to communicate successfully in Indonesian, to ask and answer routine questions. There was a celebration of Language Week in August 2018 to promote the diversity of languages within the school by making and wearing badges sharing other languages.
