Protective Behaviours
Please follow the link to find a very useful and practical resourcefor teaching your child about protective behaviours.
Some sections have activities that you can complete with your child, along with discussion topics and how to reinforce protective behaviours in everyday life. Protective Behaviours is a safety awareness and resilience building program which helps children to recognise any situation where they feel worried or unsafe, such as feeling stressed, bullied or threatened; and explores practical ways to keep safe.
It’s two main themes are ‘We all have the right to feel safe at all times’ and ‘ We can tell someone about anything, no matter what it is.’
